I knew today would be bittersweet for me. It's the first day of school for Nick and Leah and this year, they are both in school at the same time, Nick at a spanish immersion school and Leah at Nick's old school. There were a few tears (mostly by Leah when we dropped Nick off, she didn't want to leave him), but for the most part they seemed pretty excited. On my way home, the car was so quiet, the house was empty....a realization that my babies are growing up!

Kids are an adventure with never ending changes. I agree with 'the os', sounds both sad and wonderful.
