Trip to Southern California

Chris and I have been telling eachother and his friends we would come visit them in Manhattan Beach, Ca with the kiddos, but the trip just hasn't ever happened. Lucky for us there were some amazing mileage deals and the stars aligned. We spent three days with Chris's friend from college, Danny, his wife Robyn and their two kids Cate and Charlie. The kids LOVED it! So did we. While we were in Manhattan Beach, we had a mini Santa Barbara reunion with his friends Dawn, Willie and their three kids, Graham and Joanna, and Zucca and Jill. It was so great to catch up with everyone.

However, the big news of the trip for the kids was our day trip to Disneyland! We decided at the last minute that while we were there, we might as well and I am so glad we did. The kids had a blast! The whole place was decorated for halloween, the weather was perfect and so were the kids. I am proud to say there wasn't a single meltdown. The highlights of Disneyland were the cars (autopia), toon town, the train and Minnie and Mickey mouse. It was definitely a little different with kids so young but still a lot of fun. Chris even convinced Nick to go on Thunder Mtn Railroad because it was a train. He said he didn't want to go again. Not surprised.

They absolutely loved Tigger. Leah ran up and hugged him.
